HIGHLIGHTS FROM TODAY’S SHOW:
An autopsy conducted on the body of Sherryann Roet who was found hanging at Carli Bay on Monday, revealed she was murdered.
• The 47-year-old woman’s body was found in a semi-decomposing state hanging from a tree at Carli Bay near a fishing stall on Monday, 9th December 2024.
• Sherryann was found hanging from a tree approximately 20 feet high.
• Her body bore marks of violence to the forehead, over the eye, under the left arm, on the nose bridge and both feet and hands.
• Around 10 am. on Monday, a man called the Couva Police Station and reported to police that a woman was seen hanging from a tree.
• Officers responded and subsequently found Sherryann suspended from a tree with a yellow rope around her neck.
• A grey Nissan Caravan Reg. No. TDU 3683 was found nearby.
• Woman Cpl James-Poyer of the Couva Police Station and Sgt. Deo of the Region 3 Homicide Bureau of Investigations are probing the incident.
An alleged bandit was shot dead during a botched robbery attempt along Tumpuna road in Arima on Friday 6th December, 2024.
• The man has been identified as 45-year-old Richard McKie of Diego Martin who died at the Arima district hospital.
On Sunday 8th December, I visited Shazard Ali at his La Horquetta business place where he addressed allegations that Richard McKie was killed because he was with his wife.
• Shazard said he was not in the business when the shooting happened, and he did not know McKie.
Two of Richard McKie’s friends have also disputed allegations that he tried to rob the vegetable mart and was killed with his own gun at Prophecy Avenue and Tumpuna Road in La Horquetta on Friday 6th December 2024.
