Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has admitted to a severe cash crunch in the state, stating difficulties in paying government employees’ salaries. The government is seeking a hand loan of 4000 crores from the Reserve Bank of India to meet salary obligations. Reddy has asked employees to decide between salaries and dearness allowances, given the financial constraints.

US Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard arrived in India on Sunday for a three-day visit, making her the first high-ranking official from the second Donald Trump administration to visit the country. She is expected to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hold talks with India’s national security advisor Ajit Doval, during the stay, sources said.

Soon after her arrival in India, Gabbard joined intelligence and security officials from around 20 countries at a conclave chaired by India’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval. The National Security Council Secretariat has hosted this conclave on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue since 2022. Gabbard will be speaking at the Raisiana dialogue on Tuesday.
