वक़्फ़ का क़ानून लाने के पीछे कांग्रेस की नीति मुस्लिम तुष्टिकरण की थी। समय के साथ कांग्रेस तुष्टिकरण की मात्रा बढ़ाती गई । जब जब उसे लगा कि मुस्लिम वोट उससे छिटक सकता है वह कट्टरपंथियों के आगे झुकती गई। २०१३ में तो उसने सारी हदें पार कर दी। उसने वक़्फ़ क़ानून में संशोधन के ज़रिए भारत को दारुल इस्लाम बनाने का रास्ता खोल दिया पर मोदी ने साबित किया कि राजनीतिक इच्छाशक्ति हो तो सब कुछ किया जा सकता है। संविधान के साथ जो खिलवाड़ किया उसे ठीक करने का काम मोदी सरकार लगातार कर रही है। कांग्रेस का मुस्लिम का विक्टिम कार्ड भी नहीं चल रहा है।
