Author Michael Shellenberger believes the Labor government’s misinformation legislation “won’t pass” the Senate.

The contentious bill aims to reduce the spread of harmful misinformation and disinformation on digital communication platforms.

“I don’t think this legislation will pass,” Mr Shellenberger told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“It’s too crazy.”
