Howdy Friends! In this video we take a behind the scenes look at one of the most unique and rare fossil sites in the world. Many of us are familiar with The La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, California. This site has yielded millions of fossils of countless species from birds and insects to the much more charismatic mammoths, saber tooth cats and dire wolves. In this video Lindsay Nikole and I had a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at this site where we were able to see where excavation was being done, how fossils are prepared and even the bone vault containing more than four million fossil remains from this incredible site. Join me as we dive deep into the wonders of the La Brea Tar Pits.
