In Sambhal district of UP, a person from the Muslim community has filed a complaint on the Chief Minister’s portal and by sending a letter to the DM of Sambhal, alleging illegal collection and embezzlement of money in the name of the fair held at the Janeta Sharif Dargah built on Waqf land. Complainant Mohammad Javed alleges that Shahid Mian, a resident of the same village, is the former Mutawalli of the Dargah, but even at present, a person named Shahid Mian has been embezzling the donations coming to the Dargah for the last five years by calling himself the Mutawalli of the Dargah. The same complainant alleges that this person is carrying out illegal construction on the Waqf property without permission.
